2005 Charity Golf Outing

On Friday, June 17, 2005, the Ping's Charity Golf Outing raised $6,500 for three worthy orginizations. The funds were distributed amongst the Scholarship Fund program, Knights of Columbus and the Yankee Air Force Museum.
In 1990, Dr. Da-I Ping was trying to raise money for the local high school with a basketball game. NFL players from his agency, like Ypsilanti native Rodney Holman came. Local sports fans paid a few bucks to watch. Joe Salame told Ping he had a better idea. Ping told Salame if he put it together, Ping's clients would be there.Ever since that moment, the annual Saline Professional Football Players Golf Outing at Brookside Golf Course had been a success. It draws 15 sixsomes together to raise $5,000 every year. Ping said he never would have believed it would be such a success, but he's still doing it - rasing money and having fun. The money raised goes to Saline Area Senior Citizens and other community groups.
