Doc Ping Featured in New Book |
|

Doc Ping has a feature chapter in a new book by Aunt Bessie, How To Survive a Day Job While Pursuing the Creative Life.
The author interviewed Doc Ping (sports agent and martial artist) and wrote a chapter called "To reach anything is a non-commitment".
Several other famous people are included in the book. From the likes of Stephen J. Cannell, Tom Cruise and Larry Holmes, to Clive Barker, Elvis Presley and Kay Taylor Parker.
The following is taken from the chapter on Doc Ping:
"To reach anything is a non-commitment. It's like that philosophy of Zen. You become part of what you want to do. It isn't a daily thoughtfulness. It's you. You have to do it. You're driven. It becomes a lifelong study. It doesn't become a day-to-day commitment or week-to-week.
I find that interesting when people say, 'Well, how long did you decide to study?'
I never decided to study. I just wake up every morning. I work out every morning. It's just a way of life. And that's it. You don't just wake up one morning and say, 'I'm going to college.' You just start and you just keep going. You are part of it, and it becomes a non-thought entity.
